When you pitch, you need to sell your idea. To do so, you target your application to PUKK’s criteria. You are not ensured a grant, but you are in a good position if you meet several of the points below. You can apply for up to DKK 7,000 of the pool.
PUKK SUPPORTS:
Beginners and amateur projects with small budgets engaging in fundraising for the first time
The voluntary youth culture
Small “here and now” projects
The alternative youth culture
The non-commercial musical life
Literature and debate events
Projects focusing on sports and movement
Theatre and dance projects
Concert, event, and exhibition events
Youth Democratic projects
Cross-artistic projects
Innovative initiatives and original ideas
Public events
SMALL film projects - remember to focus on public screening of the film or process
PUKK can unfortunately not support everything. If you are looking for support for one or more of the following points, you should rethink your project or apply for money elsewhere than PUKK.
PUKK DOES NOT SUPPORT:
Projects already held
Travel abroad and projects that take place outside of Aarhus Municipality
Operating expenses, i.e., expenses for salaries, rent, maintenance, and other administrative tasks. You can apply for grants and tariffs but remember; PUKK prioritizes volunteering as an organization as well as in settlement.
PUKK does not support projects where the grant goes exclusively to production costs, including film production. There must be a publicly accessible event linked to the project, including an event, a screening, an exhibition, a debate, etc.
Fundraisings where the profits from sales and admission go to a charitable purpose or to the operation of an organization
Commercial events. The pool supports the voluntary youth culture.
Projects that only benefit the applicant, e.g., demos and projects in connection with admission to a studio
Party political, religious, or discriminatory projects
As a general rule, the purchase of technical equipment
Illegal events
PUKK reserves the right to assess whether the budget is reasonable and to award grants subject to certain changes in the project budget.
